For her second collection, Lorry Newhouse said she went for a “French schoolgirl look.” Such a girl would be quite lucky to wear any of these charming dresses, which were worked in simple shapes and with minimal details. Peter Pan collars were  key to the aesthetic, and were shown on cap-sleeved, gently flared shapes, as well as looks in lace, such as a long-sleeved dress in ivory with a softly rounded, short skirt, and a long, slender version in navy. A short-sleeved, empire dress in powder cotton voile was a perfect example of Newhouse’s lovely light touch.
