The mood at Burberry is laid-back luxury rendered in relaxed tailoring with a worn-in feel: cigarette and capri trousers with paper-bag waistbands and leather jackets in a cracked vintage finish. Chief creative officer Christopher Bailey infused the look with shine, via a gold lamé trench and coats in metallic fabrics. Men’s wear channeled a similar vibe, with Thirties prints for skinny ties; narrow, high-waisted trousers — get out your suspenders, boys — and lots of classic fabrics, such as cotton poplin and seersucker.
