Daniella Helayel had Andy Warhol in mind for the Issa London collection that was filled with bright blocks of color and prints that included butterflies, zebras and an abstract drawing of Warhol in sunglasses. “We wanted to do something a bit American this time,” said Helayel. “We wanted it to be fun and bold and colorful. Andy Warhol, Edie Sedgwick and Studio 54.” The dress silhouettes ranged from Issa’s signature V-neck wrap styles to ones with racer backs and other more sweet cap-sleeve versions with buttons down the front. There were also caftans galore, as well as a floor-length halter-neck number imprinted with so many tiny butterflies, it could almost take flight.
