Consuelo Castiglioni looked to the West for her Marni resort collection, combining a cowgirl-inspired theme with elegant, architectural shapes. “I didn’t put the focus on a single idea of a silhouette,” she said. “I mixed pleats, curves and rounded lines with new lengths.” Gold microstuds embellished masculine shirts paired with stiff knee-length flared skirts, while sophisticated tri-dimensional raffia embroideries ran along cropped jackets and coats. Castiglioni also played with contrasting prints, i.e. a silk top in an abstract motif with a V-insert in a different floral pattern.
