Angela Missoni found inspiration in Chinese porcelain and British pottery as she designed her fresh, feminine Missoni resort collection, which put the focus on the waist. A sleeveless knit dress with a brushstroke motif was embroidered with contrasting sinuous details, while a padded, cropped cotton jacket was paired with a stiff silk satin skirt, all done in abstract prints that mimic the decorations of Oriental vases.

The collection, of course, also featured the house’s iconic fabrics and motifs, updated with embroideries and degradé effects. Meanwhile, a raschel knit mini-dress was worked in a geometrical pattern in all-over sequins, adding a pinch of disco-glam to the functional lineup.
