A family trip to the Amalfi coast inspired Tory Burch — most notably its seafoam and ivory hues, washed tiles and Buganvilia flowers. That meant beading and sequins on dresses, skirts and tops, but Burch deliberately practiced restraint to maintain a sense of lightness. She also charmingly mixed patterns with embellishment, teaming, for instance, a faded striped shirt with a navy skirt embroidered in a tile pattern.
