A recent trip to Singapore left Zac Posen inspired by its cash-rich society, where women wear serious gowns for a night out. Posen renewed his commitment to “American heritage clothing and social dressing” with a collection flush with grand eveningwear. If a few of the high-drama ballgowns, some done with curtain-fold skirts, skewed too heritage, languid mermaid skirts and curve-hugging fluted frocks with contour seams cut a killer, man-eating silhouette. There were tailored separates, too, but Posen pursued his clients’ casual side with his still-curvy Z Spoke lineup of knitwear and Modal groups.
