“From beach to evening” is how Peter Copping summed up his Seventies-inspired collection for Nina Ricci, this time built around the idea of beachwear. Bikinis were shown under many of the easy-chic sheer looks, such as the neon pink one that glowed through the draped cotton lace of a bohemian dress with feather and shredded chiffon embellishment. Another flowing short dress was done in a butterfly-patterned lamé jacquard chiffon — perfect for a summer night at the disco. This collection also marked Copping’s first foray into denim, but rather than jeans, he worked the material on a voluminous coat with a trompe l’oeil collar.
