Fausto Puglisi’s resort lineup was a combustible combination of Miami heat and Italian glitz. Palm tree prints abounded on sweatshirts and baseball jackets, as did flashy embroideries on flared skirts and jackets. There were traces of the modern sporty and retro classic in the cuts. “It’s as if a skater from Venice fell in love with Tippi Hedren in ‘The Birds,’” said Puglisi. Acid colors, such as pink and green, added extra kick to a collection that was already far from quiet.
