A naughty English schoolgirl morphing into an adult while discovering Paris. Such was the inspiration behind See by Chloé, which is undergoing a reinvention of sorts to link it more directly to Chloé. To this end, Clare Waight Keller’s design team delved into the house archives for whimsical patterns and details such as signature bows on blouses and dresses. The British girl attitude came across in bold colors, mix-and-match patterns and a feisty color-blocked Mackintosh, while a subtly studied ease — flirty frocks worn with sneakers and slouchy bags — delivered that cool je ne sais quoi. So, too, did a renewed interest in denim, which turned up in a sweet little dress as well as jackets and skinny jeans.
