Showing his softer side for resort, Zac Posen balanced his signature dramatic gowns with airy, feminine looks. Romantic dresses with a Thirties garden-party flavor were the highlight of the collection. Prints included pretty floral bouquets and dainty butterflies that made their way onto feminine frocks, jacquard knits and floaty tops. Playing with structure and ease, Posen worked techniques such as pintucking, pleating, multiple ruffles and ruching on everything from eveningwear to high-glamour day looks. Embroidered velvet was rich and grand in a bustier top as well as a shrunken jacket. The palette ranged from highly saturated tones to sun-faded hues. And to prove his collection has no age limits, Posen shot his look book with mother and daughter models Pat and Anna Cleveland.
