Emma Cook said she looked to the idea of resort “in its literal sense,” citing “holidays, the Hamptons and coastal beach houses” among her touchstones for the season. Pieces included a poncho stitched in a chevron pattern of pale blue, navy and white patches of leather and wool, while a witty lobster motif appeared on a cornflower blue sweater worn with white culottes. Cook also spun the seaside spirit into pretty, dressier looks, such as a shift dress in stripes of navy, red and royal blue silk inspired by flags, with panels of white polka-dot tulle across the shoulders and at the wrists.
