School uniforms provided the starting point for Ji Oh’s lineup. While she riffed on the expected — a boyish blue shirt with white collar, a pleated navy miniskirt — the designer also worked the idea in more abstract ways, such as with the trompe l’oeil dress that looked like a white shirt tucked into a black pencil skirt.

Some looks, such as the cool white leather trench and the red cashmere coat shown over a matching cotton T-shirt and skinny stretch wool pants, went years beyond schoolgirl. Said Oh: “As you grow older, you still wear some sort of uniform.”
