Richard Nicoll said he wanted to merge the ideas of “embracing the future but also slowing down,” with his easy, laid-back resort collection that focused on hand-worked and technical fabrics. A crisp, blue-and-white pin-striped shirt and matching shorts were dip-dyed using the Japanese Shibori technique. They were shown with a bomber jacket done in a digital, lacquered version of the Shibori work. Meanwhile, Nicoll worked a Crombie coat in a crinkly silver fabric for a cool take on a thermal runner’s blanket.
