Yeohlee Teng takes her inspirations quite seriously and for resort, she looked to the work of architect Louis Kahn and craftsman Wharton Esherick. “I like user-friendly fabrics and discreet details for my key pieces,” noted the designer. Color-blocked, knit midcalf sheaths; a rain vest with angled pockets over black-and-white checked shorts in crinkled cotton, and a bias-cut abstract printed cotton shirt all reflected Teng’s mind-set. Each season the raincoat is a key item for the designer and here, her hooded style in gray polyester and polyurethane with black accents reflected her penchant for graphics.
