Australian-based Kym Ellery said she was inspired by suburban swimming pools and David Hockney’s bold brushstrokes, which she translated into a great print shown on a range of dresses and skirts. It was most prominent on a voluminous peach-and-yellow Empire-waist organza midi dress. Tops featured bell sleeves, skirts had pointy hems and dresses were cut both away from the body and narrow. White crepe flared and cropped pants layered underneath a matching narrow skirt were paired with a blue shirt to a refreshing effect.
