Gardens, including Florence’s famed Boboli ones and those at France’s Manoir d’Eyrignac, provided a strong starting point for Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s pretty Rochas collection. The designer played with strong colors, texture and volume, all of which he executed with a charming sense of lightness. A grass-green double-faced cashmere jacket, for example, was shown with a full Sangallo lace skirt adorned with crystals, while a pink silk crepe coat topped a blush crepe de chine shirtdress with a ruffled detail on the skirt. Dell’Acqua also included several sundresses — an airy pink silk faille one and a cocktail number in a geometric stretch brocade added to the enchanted garden theme.
