A visit to the Amazon rainforest was the starting point for Vivienne Westwood’s first presentation of her Gold Label resort collection, and her inspiration came through in teal green, muted gold and dark fuchsia. A silk striped minidress with a swingy skirt and puffed sleeves was done in the palette, while a blue-green leaf pattern wound around a black minidress with one draped, capelike sleeve. All the looks were cocktail-worthy, but the designer offered high-octane options, too — a black sequined number with an hourglass waist and a bronze jacquard dress with ruffled puffed sleeves and a full, floor-sweeping skirt.
