Theia Resort 2016

Drawing inspiration from textile designer Anni Albers, Don O'Neill incorporated lines, both dramatic and subtle, into his Theia resort collection.

For his Theia resort collection, Don O’Neill was inspired by Anni Albers, the American textile artist and former Bauhaus master. He drew from Albers’ use of lines — most notably on a floral-print silk gazar gown featuring subtle diagonal lines, which added a sense of texture to the look — as well as her black-and-white mosaics and incorporation of metallic threads. A woven mesh crop top and striped ball skirt proved a modern evening option, and elsewhere, a minimalist collared dress had a chic Seventies feel.
