Jimmy Choo laid on a glittering banquet for the Paris launch of its latest resort goodies — literally. They were placed on plates surrounded by fake turkeys, lavish faux fruit and seafood platters and crystal glasses overflowing with red crystals. And as an amuse-bouche, creative director Sandra Choi also whipped up a limited-edition capsule collection of shoes and bags that came with a choice of broochlike jeweled adornments.

The concept played out differently, depending on the style. For example, the line’s pointy-toe pump in a new camo-floral print came with seven covered buttons attached to the toe area as well as three jeweled buttons that could be clipped on at random. Similarly, the plain metal clasp on the House’s signature Cloud clutch unclipped to leave way for a choice of crystal brooches to set a more feminine tone. A range of pearl, diamanté and fur pom-pom embellishments to clip on to flats and ankle strap pumps were also presented, lending a bespoke edge to the looks.

A trio of customizable options come with each style, with additional options available to purchase. Hits from the main line, meanwhile, included the Macy platform sandal in colored suede and metallic leather and a slim tapered heel measuring a lofty 150 mm.
