After skipping one season, designers Samuel François and Daniel Fumaz haven’t lost any of their imagination. Their heroines this time were as sweet as a bag of candies, with taffeta and organza dresses swirling and blowing volumes on their bodies like sugar sculptures. Even the jewelry — blown-glass flowers and little dangling animals — looked edible. Starting with a sassy knee-length pencil silhouette, the designers put the focus on the shoulders, sometimes exaggerated to resemble butterfly wings. Ruffles also ran amok, traveling up the spine of one fitted iridescent pale blue cocktail taffeta dress or as exaggerated flounces on jackets.
