Drawing inspiration from the mazelike streets of Tokyo, Christophe Josse produced a variety of intertwined embroideries and intricate, serpentine trimmings that adorned otherwise soberly cut dresses, mostly in black and white. Fluid satin and chiffon gowns in pale pink and navy blue conjured a wonderfully feminine, fresh air, while lace, the collection’s key ingredient, was at its best on a little belted guipure top matched with a navy full skirt in heavy cotton.
