According to Michel Lacoste, Lacoste has stayed true to its founder’s goals while the world has changed to make the brand even more relevant.

It’s been 75 years since Rene Lacoste founded his eponymous tennis-inspired brand. According to his son, Michel Lacoste, the brand has stayed true to his father’s goals while the world has changed to make the brand even more relevant.

“It’s staying the same in respect of sport and elegance,” the Frenchman said at Lacoste’s show Saturday. “but the borders of sport and fashion today are more blurred.”

Having exited the US Open early, Andy Roddick brought his fiance Brooklyn Decker to the show. The swimsuit model said she is still looking for the perfect dress for their spring wedding, which they are keeping under wraps for now.
