Erdem Moralioglu traveled to France for inspiration — and, more specifically, to the court of Louis XVI and Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny. His delicate evening gowns were fashioned from dusty blue or pink toile de Jouy fabrics, layers of Chantilly lace or silks printed with washed-out watercolors of flowers and birds. Other utterly feminine looks included silk caftans with rose appliqués and short dresses with tight ruffles or sparkling jewels. But the collection wasn’t for everyone: Only sensitive, romantic types need apply.
