Designer Jasmine al-Fayed has been building a substantial business – annual sales are about 5.5 million pounds, or $9 million – on the back of sexy, curve-hugging silhouettes for day and evening. This glamorous and focused collection drew its inspiration from “death, sex, kink, and desecrated beauty,” according to the designer, who sent out strapless, white satin gowns with subtle naked-lady prints on them; sizzling one-shoulder numbers in hot orange; and a draped silk minidress in cinnamon and cream.
