The Arise collective consisted of four very different designers. Folake Folarin-Coker of Tiffany Amber, Eric Raisina of Eric Raisina Haute Texture and David Tlale all shared a penchant for spunky shapes and details as well as colors that dazzled. But it was Lisa Folawiyo, who, in her Jewel by Lisa collection, most successfully combined a strong African aesthetic with urban chic. The best examples: a red and mustard embroidered, printed cocktail dress and a gold, white and brown minidress with bright leather appliqués.
