Hidenobu Yasui worked swishy synthetics into sharp basics such as wide-legged pants, cinched-waist dresses and tailored jackets and pants, but injected some unusual twists into the lineup. Some of the more curious looks included a skirt with a hem that morphed into a tiny snap-top purse and a dress that did the same thing under the arm to create an over-the-shoulder chain strap.
