Designers Ayako Kon and Hiromi Sato showed an extensive collection of hyper girly babydoll dresses, jumpsuits, bloomers and nighties for their debut runway show at JFW. True to the brand’s Lolita aesthetic, florals, frills, ruffles, ribbons and bows were in no short supply. This brand has a cult following and its biggest fans turned out in droves; many also took advantage of the evening to do some shopping as a temporary store was set up at the entrance to the show venue. Definitely a departure from the other shows at JFW, Liz Lisa offered insight into a uniquely Japanese subculture.
