Spring was the season of plenty at Moschino Cheap and Chic’s show, titled Beautyfood. Rossella Jardini set up her venue like a farmer’s market replete with a bounty of fresh flowers and produce that carried over onto the clothes as well.
It started with a short pink shift made to look like a strawberry — with puffed sleeves, a green bow and black teardrop beads placed like seeds — and finished with a white bubble-skirt dress with a yellow print like rays of sunshine.
In between, there were a variety of sweet young dresses with amusing fruit and vegetable accents, such as pepper and onion buttons on a Sixties-style coat and a giant carrot headband. No lofty eco messages here, just a positive attitude — eat well, be healthy — and cute, happy clothes.
