Come spring, Jill Stuart’s gals will step out of last season’s woodland reverie and into a vibrant sherbet-hued world of girly ensembles. The designer didn’t stray far from her familiar aesthetic, save for a looser, boxy silhouette on jackets and coats, while many dresses featured a dropped waist. Pleats made a big splash showing up on skirts, shorts and culottes, adding an extra flounce to the look. And while the cheerful solids dominated the collection, she sprinkled a few darling prints into the mix — from palm trees to little birds.
