“We wanted to do a real collection for real women,” stated Thuy Pham and Miho Aoki. So the United Bamboo design duo focused on staples spiced up with their cool edge that should appeal to the more artistic crowd. Working in monotone colors, there were plenty of blazers that were anything but basic — some in soft leather, a color-blocked style and even an open back version — paired with crisp shirts, easy trousers and plenty of great knits. And for the United Bamboo girls who spend a lot of time on the party circuit, Pham and Aoki showed some great dresses that were Eighties-graffiti inspired.
