Designers Miyuki Omichi and Ayumi Kita staged their show in an outdoor space at Tokyo Midtown, attracting plenty of onlookers. It was refreshing to see Tokyo fashion week engage the general public and it gave the show an extra dose of energy. As for the collection, it was difficult to pinpoint a specific theme, something the designers themselves acknowledge. But there were some well-executed, nice looking clothes like a punchy floral blouse and color-blocked green shorts, a tailored pantsuit with lace insets and a mini dress contracted from a sleeveless blazer with feather trim.
