Designer Hideaki Sakaguchi drew inspiration from the casual style of California for his spring collection. Natural fabrics like cotton, linen and burlap were fashioned into clean cut blazers, bermuda shorts, cropped trousers, and relaxed skirts and dresses. Shades of blue, khaki, brown and white were complemented by wide stripes that were a nod to classic American sportswear. Eyelet and lace trim added interest. Sakaguchi referenced surfers as well, with a series of bikinis, hooded beach coverups and lightweight heather grey sweatshirts with logo prints. The collection was rounded out by deck shoes that were reinvented with a wedge sole.
