David Koma gave his body-conscious aesthetic a sporty spin with a collection inspired by female tennis players — but through his glam lens, these pieces were more suited to a high-octane setting than a grass court. The lineup included body-hugging tank dresses with flippy pleated silk miniskirts and an electric blue sheath dress adorned with a lattice pattern crafted from shiny black beads, designed to mimic a tennis net. At times, the theme led Koma to loosen up his silhouettes, as in a number of boxy T-shirts and sweaters with organza panels that were worn over his form-fitting dresses, and offered a more accessible take on the look.
