To India and to the annual Holi Festival, with its explosion of colored powders, paints, and springtime exuberance. From tailored clothing to leather to silk chiffon evening gowns, every bit of Matthew Williamson’s clothing was doused or daubed in primary colors or pavéd with sparkling beads and mirror ornaments.

For his 15th anniversary collection, Williamson said he wanted to go back to his design roots and rediscover his love of India. That translated into purple and white suits with a rainbow of colors dripping down the back or front, and a leather jacket the color of café au lait with sleeves that glistened with shiny beads and mirrors. And working with the artist Shane McAdams, abstract images of Kerala and Tibet emerged on some of the trousers to round out this sexy, giddy collection.
