Kit Willow used leather, silk chiffon, organza and mesh to reinterpret lingerie as fashion — with more than a touch of fetishism thrown into the mix. The show marked the designer’s return to the London circuit after decamping to New York in 2004. The show opened with a leather vest with biker accents and a delicate chiffon skirt. Willow explored this hard/soft dichotomy confidently throughout the collection in a palette that featured nude, black, ice blue, vermillion, copper, and white. One of the show’s standout pieces was a corseted strapless dress with cutouts and expertly draped mesh that floated like mist over the cement runway.
