This season, she went back to the Fifties at Alice + Olivia, posing her models on vintage furniture in full-skirted frocks and gowns. The collection ranged from very simple to incredibly elaborate via feathers, lace and embroidery. A cherry blossom-printed number with a pleated underlay was lovely but the true winners were Bendet’s full-length evening gowns, most notably the dreamy one in tiers of blue embroidery.
