This was Prabal Gurung’s second collection for ICB, or International Concept Brand, again showed on Digitalfashionshows.com. In an online interview, Gurung said that “the ICB girl is young and has a fast-paced life. These are clothes that match her lifestyle and offer her versatility.” The lineup delivered, with lots of vibrant prints, most notably an inkblot motif that played well on a tuxedo jacket and flippy leather miniskirt, while contrast piping and color blocks offered a Mondrian-like effect on pants and a shift dress. There was a definite note of sophistication in the more tailored pieces and an adventurous spirit in the flowing chiffon dresses with pointed hems. The line is still sold exclusively at Barneys New York, but ICB has plans to expand for fall 2013.
