Monique Lhuillier likes her seasonal changes to be subtle rather than shocking. For spring, she employed a bold crane print that was cleverly placed on the back of a short jacket, used as tuxedo striping up the sides of pants and allover on a long, slender evening dress. She worked in luxurious silk georgette, crepe and faille for both day and night, but for her ladies who like to sizzle rather than float, Lhuillier incorporated some great leathers: a pearlized navy one-shoulder dress, a plum sheath and laser-cut shorts in sparkling midnight blue.
