Nanette Lepore was inspired by a museum collection of delicate china, so she used pretty toile in an array of pumped-up pastels to showcase her “techno porcelain” vision. Saturated colors were set against black to give the feminine prints a modern edge. Dresses ranged from flirty frocks to beachy knit versions, the strongest of which was the coral ombré halter dress. Sportswear was well represented in black and white, i.e. a striped vest, checked pants and leather jacket in a net print. This season Lepore added belts to her lineup; the wide woven styles complemented her clothes to a T.
