Unlike Justin Timberlake, Anne Valérie Hash did not score a hit in bringing sexy back.
In her show notes, Hash expressed a wish to develop “a collection closer to the body” and “with a certain femininity and a sensuality.” Translation: bustiers galore.
They came in dress and jumpsuit versions in satin-y fabrics, or as miniscule tops over pencil skirts. When the clothes were more covered up, they were done in showy, glistening prints or opalescent organza. Bunched fabric around the hips and midriff also drew attention, but not for their figure-flattering attributes.
Sheer-sided tuxedo pants and minimalist coats with bracelet sleeves seemed more in tune with Hash’s approachable brand of Parisian style.
