In a paradoxical turn, finding inspiration in the hip-hop movement resulted in one of Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s most elegant collections. Neither slouchy nor overly casual, a military, sporty vibe permeated the clothes. Boxy shouldered cotton shirts with matching trousers and skirts echoed warm-weather trooper uniforms, first shown in solid navies and khakis before exploding into a variety of graphic camouflage prints in a bright pallet. These were interspersed with sexy color-blocked dresses that resembled oversize T-shirts, strategically slashed, resized and repositioned for the female form.
