A master knitter, Alice Lemoine launched her Le Moine Tricote label two years ago after a short stint at Rick Owens, where she was producing exclusive pieces for the Palais Royal line.

 

Lemoine’s intricately made looks typically carry a dark mood but for spring she moved into a lighter palette, mixing cream, blue and mauve into the usual muddy hues. Hand-knit dresses and separates were sexy, all worked in geometrical block patterns. She also added organza and jersey tanks into the lineup as layering pieces. The overall effect was a perfect balance of handcraft and girly.
