For her first Tokyo fashion week show, New York-based designer Hanako Maeda showed a collection of simple silhouettes in bright primary colors such as royal blue and lemon yellow, complemented by white, black and gray. Shirt dresses and sleeveless tunics looked basic from the front, but cutouts or pleats at the back added interest. The show closed with a series of sky blue separates with sequin detailing at necklines, hems and shoulders.
