Designer Kazuaki Takashima created a fantasy world in the style of “Where the Wild Things Are.” A life-sized, stuffed Ewok-style creature and grating live drum music set the stage. Models floated down the switch-back runway as if in a trance, wearing knit masks and headdresses that transformed them into fantastical creatures. Takashima showed his signature quirk style through patchwork denim, wool and plaid flannel pieces. There were plenty of knit sweaters with contrasting hems, sleeves and plackets. Varsity sweatshirts were juxtaposed with flowing chiffon, and cute animal faces adorned the heels of suede pumps.
