Inspired by the onna-bugeisha, the female warriors of the samurai class in feudal Japan, Brandon Sun’s sophisticated spring collection was an exercise in contrasts. A masculine elongated vest with padded shoulders was paired with a delicate color-blocked silk sleeveless dress, while a transparent organza shirt with cotton plastron was matched with a stiff gray skirt embellished with geometric intarsia.

Sun also proved his skills as fur designer through an intarsia mink bomber jacket worn over a fluid silk dress with a plunging V-neck and contrasting piping.
