Architectural does not come to mind when considering the ethereal and feminine clothing of Lela Rose. Yet she combined her two passions this season for a pretty collection filled with chic day dresses and eveningwear.

Inspired by mid-century modern furniture and the work of Danish industrial designer Arne Jacobsen, Rose played with geometric patterns and curvilinear shapes. But no Lela Rose collection would be complete without beautiful lace, which she worked into a wood grain motif. She stacked colorful tweeds onto linen jackets and dresses for day, which were ladylike but with a cool twist. For evening, she worked intricate embroideries onto a mosaic motif cocktail number, a sexy linear strapless dress and sweet sweater.
