Black lace insets and appliqués added a slinky touch to all the polished prettiness at Wes Gordon, where even a cropped leather moto jacket looked delicate in a pale pistachio hue.

A below-the-knee silhouette was the focal point for spring, with lots of figure-hugging silk crepe. The gambit didn’t always work perfectly, as in one pencil skirt in gray lambskin with an awkward lace hem peeking out. But the column dresses shown in either silk georgette or rose satin were deliciously elegant, their fluidity spotlighted on the runway rather than Gordon’s usual presentation format.
