Carmen Miranda was the inspiration behind Pedro Lourenço’s spring collection (which he showed via an online video), but he kept the tropical influences under control. The fitted trouser suits and pencil skirts were worked in graphic black-and-white effects, set off by glossy fabrics in dégradé shades of nude and charcoal and touches of silver lamé.

Apron peplums in tangy oranges and aubergines sprouted from the front of sheer sequin-embroidered skirts, while a zebralike pattern appeared on a buttonless coat. Particularly appealing were the laser-cut butterfly motifs on two cropped long-sleeve tops.
