Véronique Leroy played on notions of duality with a collection in which full-skirted dresses featuring swooping midcalf hemlines played against thigh-skimming miniskirts.

Fabrics were also a study in contrasts, with PVC and glossy patent leather set off against spongy terry cloth and nubby tweed. Throughout, Leroy demonstrated a mastery of cut and proportion that made her hemlines — whether demure or playful — look equally appealing.
